The Artist & the Astronaut in Vermont

After Screenings in Florida and Maryland this week the Artist & the Astronaut crew will be heading back to Vermont. The place where it all began. The film and its director, Bill Muench, and composer, Todd Hobin will be featured with a screening and talkback session at the Vermont Film and Folklore Festival in Manchester, VT.

It has been a long journey. It started almost a decade ago when Bill Muench first met Astronaut Jerry Carr and his wife, the artist Pat Musick. The Carrs had moved from Northwest Arkansas to Manchester, VT to be closer to family. From that relationship grew the concept for a film about their lives. The rest is history.

This is the inaugural running of the Vermont Film and Folklore Festival. Having a film that was conceived and produced right there in this picturesque New England town seemed appropriate and heartfelt.

The Festival runs from May 23rd through the 26th. The Artist & and Astronaut screening is scheduled for 4:00 PM on May 24th at the Southern Vermont Art Center. https://www.theartistandtheastronaut.com/screenings/may-24-2024-manchester-vt
