I always seem to write, “I’m sorry for not writing sooner,” lately. Same story, when you’re busy doing, you’re too busy to write about what you’re doing. Well, that is, indeed, the case. Since my last Journal entry, we had a spectacular screening of The Artist and the Astronaut at SUNY Potsdam, my classes started at Le Moyne College, and we finished our rough draft of the Rock Opera GRAIL. Oh, Joann and I had a wonderful visit with my old bandmate and pal, Chuck Lorre. I bring him up to give him a little love. During his visit to Potsdam, he dropped off a check for a cool one million dollars.
So you kind of see what’s coming next: Founders Day is this coming Friday. My band is accompanying the Le Moyne College Jazzuits. Rehearsals are going great. Then the following weekend we are workshopping the score of GRAIL with a full cast. It should take two days. Then I leave for Oklahoma for screenings at the Stafford Air & Space Museum followed by the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.
I will fill you in on all of this as I can. Details are kind of important, right?
And then there’s all of this:
