August Already?

Here it is August 5th. The summer is legitimately half over and I haven’t played a concert since the dead of winter. Strange. And I don’t see any end in sight to this artificially imposed exile from playing. Maybe 2021 will bode better as years go.

I have actually been too busy to miss the live concert thing. Lots of studio work. Both music and art. Today, I’m recording a song for an upcoming audiobook. I also have been working on a huge score for a documentary film. These projects take up massive amounts of time. It’s hard to fit in my other music projects around them. Although, we did just release a couple of awesome songs by Irv Lyons, Jr. That PR should be hitting the street soon. Big stuff.

Now about this art thing. You know that I am an artist, right? Well, I am just now beginning to illustrate my third book in the Old Doc Turtle series by Richard Faith. Rich asked me to take over the project after the first book hit the market. I couldn’t be happier. We haven’t done a full-scale launch of my work with the series, but it should be coming out soon. Book Two and Three of the series are both up on Amazon. Crocodilly Lilly and Bee Scared. Next up is I Can’t See Said Mandy Manatee. The books, teach kids about health and lifestyle issues. It’s a joy.

In the last few months, I also got three covers! All published. Two more Richard Faith titles: Sylvia and Barkley, a Sci-Fi opus called Megamerse, and Don’t Stop Dancing (Stranger Than Fiction). I’ll attach this last one here. It’s an investigative bio on Michael Jackson.

So, onward we go, with no shows but lots of fun things for an old man to do.

Be well, my dear friends.
